Jim Quick and Coastline have launched a new merchandise store, "Swamp Swag" that currently has the new Jim Quick and Coastline logo shirts, swamp soul shirts, single posters, their Revival album and a special victrola record player package. In a Facebook post the band advised: " We will be adding more new merch as it rolls in" so be sure to check their website for new items as they become available.

A fundraiser for DJ Butch Metcalf was organized by Bryan Hall and Steve Baker on March 29, 2022. The fundraiser was held on the Facebook platform and it ended at $9,000. If you'd still like to donate, contact Bryan or Steve on details for mailing a check.

"Steve Baker has asked me to help with a fundraiser for our wonderful friend Butch Metcalf. Butch has been unable to work (DJ) due to his post Covid medical issues. To make matters worse - Vicki has been unable to work due to her recent knee surgery. Butch has entertained us and shared his music for us for over 35 years and now could use our help. PLEASE consider donating to this worthy cause. NO AMOUNT is too small. Steve and I will work together on this. We will cover any fees charged by Facebook and will make certain they receive every dollar donated. If you have any questions - please reach out to us. My cell is 336-688-1631. Party in Elmwood announced their 2022 Beach Music lineup on March 31, 2022. The Beach Music series runs for nineteen weeks and is held every Thursday from 5:30PM until 8:30PM at Elmwood Park located at: 706 S. Jefferson St., Roanoke, Virginia 24011.

Admission is only $5.00 at the gate and kids under the age of twelve are free. They do offer a season pass for $85.00 but you need to purchase before May 1, 2022 on their website. Also be sure to head over to their Facebook page and give them a follow. Check out the awesome lineup below!

The Beach Shaggers National Hall of Fame announced their 2022 Inductees on March 19, 2022 at the Spanish Galleon Beach Club in N. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The induction ceremony will take place during the Shagattack Fall Party October 14th and 15th 2022. For full information on that event, we ask that you visit the ShagAttack website. The Keepers Of The Dance was started in 1998 by the Beach Shaggers National Hall Of Fame to honor former junior shaggers who have continued to participate in our dance, music, and lifestyle after their junior years and have been instrumental in "keeping" the dance and music alive.  The brain child of Harry Driver and Chick Hedrick, fostered by Vickie Carter and a host of other Hall of Famers, this organization has grown and flourished over the years.

On November 17, 2022, the Beach Music industry lost another DJ with the passing of DJ Betty Brown. The South Strand Shag Club shared, "May 14, 4-7pm, a memorial will be held at Fat Harold's backroom".  Many of Betty's friends have expressed their love across various social media pages and groups. We send our condolences to Betty's family as we know this will be an emotional time during the celebration of life.

The Lincolnton Alive After Five concert series has been announced. The series runs from May through September and the events are held at: 119 Court Square Lincolnton, North Carolina, 28092

March 14, 2022 - In a Facebook post on March 12, 2022, Jim Stoudemire updated everyone on his recent medical procedures and his current condition. We've included the post for you below along with a link to a GoFundMe that has been setup to help with medical bills not covered by insurance. We send our well wished to Jim and we look forward to your return to the stage.

Update on Jim: Due to some more complications, Jim has been admitted to the hospital again. At this time he does not have to have another surgery, hopefully it stays that way. We would like to thank everyone for being so generous with us, through the GoFundMe, the cards, and especially the prayers. I ask for Jim to be kept in your thoughts and prayers a little longer, he really needs it! Love to you all!

Update on Jim: He is home again! Hopefully for good this time. He will have some IV therapy at home over the next few weeks, but it is so much better home than the hospital. Once again, we cannot express our gratitude enough for everyone's generosity, cards and prayers. We are truly blessed to be able to have such an amazing group of friends! Thank you all and we love you!
