The National Shag Dance Championships have extended their application deadline to January 2, 2020 for the following categories: Pro, Junior 1, Junior 2, and Masters. The event will be held, March 12, 2020 at the Ocean Drive Beach and Golf Resort in N. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Yesterday was Steve Hardy's final show on WNCT after forty-five dedicated years on "Steve Hardy's Original Beach Party". It was announced earlier today by WNCT 107.9 FM that "The Craig Woolard Show" would debut on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 6:00-10:00PM. Based out of Greenville, North Carolina WNCT can be streamed from their website and on the Tune-in app. We're looking forward to hearing the new show and we'd like to congratulate Craig on his new venture.

On Sunday, December 22, 2019, Jonathan "JJ" Sharpe from Flip Flop Live and his wife Shanon attended the 20th annual Carolina Ocean Drive "Eggnog Edition" party at the WLUS 98.3FM studios in Oxford, North Carolina. DJ's Mike Brooks and Allan Daniel (Big Allan D) host their weekly show every Saturday and Sunday. Jonathan was interviewed on air to talk about his band, the upcoming "Shaggin' for a Cause" event with Flip Flop Live along with the success of Flip Flop Live over the past year. Also in attendance were members of The Castaways, Feature Attraction, The Konnection, JB and the Get Down Browns among other sponsors, event organizers and fans of 98.3FM.
