In just over a month after announcing ticket sales, the annual Abingdon Virginia Ruritan Club seafood festival sells out once again. The Ruritan club holds two festivals per year and if you were planning on attending the May event, you're out of luck.

The Spring 2019 entertainment will feature Virginia's own "The Janitors" from Virginia Beach. Danny Morgan and the guys always put on a great show performing a tight blend of R&B, 60's Soul, 70's Funk, Country, Classic Rock and Top 40 Dance.

One of Virginia's most popular events and always a sell out crowd simply because they offer some of the best food and wide selection along with top entertainment each year ranging from Beach, Soul, Blues and more. You can check our calendar for similar upcoming events and be sure to watch for the Ruritan club's Fall festival that's held on the third Wednesday of October.

Sand City Productions announced this morning the release of their first compilation titled "Let Loose". The album will be pushed to your favorite DJ's and stations Friday, March 15, 2019 so be sure to call in your requests for the new CD. The 2019 Lake Life Live Summer concert series calendar is set and what a great lineup. Located on beautiful Buggs Island Lake in Clarksville, Virginia (Virginia's ONLY lakeside town). As you cross the bridge into downtown Clarksville you're greeted with quaint shops, restaurants and  businesses. Venture a little farther into town and you will reach the new stage that was constructed for the 2018 concert series which now includes the addition of an outdoor dance floor in front of the large covered stage.

Through the hardwork and dedication of so many people, organizations, artists and bands,
we can certainly say that the 2019 Cabin Fever Throwdown fundraiser was a success and
we're so happy that we were able to be there for the event and we're already looking forward
to 2020. 

Donation totals: $94,048.58

Sadly we received news from Hopewell, Virginia earlier this morning. The Hopewell Moose Lodge 1472
was a total loss from a fire that started in the early morning hours. Thankfully no employees or lodge
members were inside of the structure and no injuries were reported.

The Hopewell Moose has supported their community for years through various events along with supporting
the Beach Music community. They've hosted various bands throughout the years along with the Central VA
Junior Shaggers.

If we receive further information we will be sure to update you on that. Our thoughts and prayers are with
the lodge members, their families and those affected within the community by this sad news.
