The 20th Annual Flem Whitt Beach Music Festival presented by the Roxboro Jaycees, Total Tire and Person County TDA is happening this coming Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the Hyco Lake Recreational Area at 205 Pointer Dr.,Leasburg, NC. The event will feature entertainment from the Band of Oz, Too Much Sylvia and Jim Quick and Coastline. Your emcees for the afternoon will be Mike Brooks and Big Allan D. from WLUS 98.3FM in Oxford, North Carolina. We will have your chance to win a pair of tickets starting tomorrow morning Wednesday, August 10, 2022 and entries will be accepted until 11:59PM. You only have one day to enter so don't delay. On Saturday, July 30, 2022, the Carolina Beach Music Academy announced the 2022 CBMA Nominees live on 94.9FM The Surf. Voting ballots will be going out shortly to the eligible academy members and they will be able to cast their votes for their favorites in each category. The results will be announced in November 2022 during the annual Cammy Weekend in N. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. On Monday, June 20, 2022 the Carolina Beach Music Academy sent out emails notifying the extended deadline for the nomination ballots for the 2022 Carolina Beach Music Awards due to the Juneteenth holiday. The deadline is now set for Wednesday, June 22, 2022! If you're a member and you're eligible to nominate, check your email inbox because all ballots were sent via email/mail. For nomination and voting guidelines, deadlines and more, visit the links below for the Carolina Beach Music Academy. If you're not a member you're not eligible to nominate this year however you can still join and be eligible to vote once the nominees have been announced in the coming months. New group shag lessons normally being the first Tuesday of each month with beginners at 7:00PM and intermediate at 8:00PM.
